First Home Plus provides stamp duty exemptions and concessions on transfer duty and mortgage duty for eligible first home buyers for first home purchases. The First Home Plus scheme was amended in April 2004 to offer stamp duty benefits to first timers (signing a contract after 4 April 2004) spending up to $600,000 on a new home. with purchases below $500,000 now attracting a full exemption of transfer and mortgage duty on the transaction.
